Wassal


Perfect for cold weather and makes your house smell divine!.









1 (64 fluid ounce) bottle Apple Cider
8 Cinnamon Sticks
1 tsp Whole AllSpice
1 tsp While Cloves
1/3 cup brown sugar
3-4 Oranges

Directions:
In a pot or slow cooker, combine apple cider, juice from oranges and several slices, and cinnamon sticks. Wrap allspice and cloves in a small piece of cheesecloth, and add to pot. Stir in brown sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and keep warm.

Chicken & Rice Bake


1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 1/3 cup Water
3/4 cup uncooked white (or wheat) rice
1/4 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Pepper
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1. Stir the soup, water, rice, paprika and pepper in a 11x8 inch (2-quart) shallow baking dish. Top with chicken. Sprinkle the chicken with additional paptika and black pepper. Cover.
2. Bake at 375` for 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through through and the rice is tender

Quick Chicken Noodle Bake



1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup Milk
1 cup cooked Peas
2 cups cubed cooked Chicken
2 cups medium Egg Noodles, cooked & drained.

1. Stir the soup, milk, peas, chicken and noodles in a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
2. Bake at 400` for 15 minutes. Stir.
3. Top with bread crumbs. Bake for 15 minutes.
4. ENJOY!

Chip Beef on Toast

This recipe serves 3 people, so you can double it if needed.

2 TBS Margarine
**melt, then add**
2 TBS Flour
**stir in till creamy, then add**
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
**stir, then add**
2 cups milk
(add the milk slowly while stirring to avoid clumping)

Keep stirring until white sauce thickens, then add...
2-3 TBS Chip beef (cut up into little squares)

I buy the CHEAP chip beef and cut up REALLY small..

Also, this white sauce is really yummy on biscuits (for biscuits and gravy)

Sugar Cookies


1 cup Sugar
½ cup Shortening
½ cup Sour Cream
½ tsp Baking Soda
2 Eggs
2 cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Vanilla



Dough Will Be Soft, Add Enough Flour Until You Can Handle It.
Roll Out Till About ¼” Thick.

Bake for 14-15 Minutes at 350`

Banana Bread
















Mix Together:

2 cups Sugar
1 cup Shortening

Then add..
2 Eggs
5-6 Bananas

After above ingredients are mixed add..
4 little cups Flour
Dash of Salt
1 heaping tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Milk

**Mix Well**

Bake 1 hour at 350`

Makes 2 loaves.

Crepes

1 cup Cold Water
1 cup Cold Milk
4 Eggs
1/2 tsp Salt
4 TBS Butter

**Mix in Blender**

Spread in thin layers to cook.

Serve with Powdered Sugar, Jelly and Maple Syrup.

Crown Jewel Salad

3 oz Orange Jello
3 oz Lime Jello
3 oz Cherry Jello

Dissolve each in 1 cup boiling water.
Add 1/2 cup cold water to each and allow to set thoroughly.
After Jello has set, cut into small cubes.

(do part 1 the night before)

Then Dissolve a 3oz Lemon Jello into 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup pineapple juice and 1 cup boiling water.

After chilled, mix 4 cups Whipped Topping in and add cubed jello.

Rainbow Jello Salad










3 oz Lime Jello
3 oz Lemon Jello
3 oz Orange Jello
3 oz Strawberry Jello
3 oz Raspberry Jello
3 oz Black Cherry Jello

Dissolve each Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Then divide in half, pouring 1/2 cup jello in two bowls.

Mix 1/3 cup yogurt to one bowl
Add 3 TBS cold water to the other bowl.

Layer in 9x13 pan letting each layer set up in between. (about 30 minutes)
**Start with lime Jello yogurt mix, then lime Jello water mix, then lemon Jello yogurt mix ect...**

German Pancakes

This is one of Marc's all time favorites!.








5 Eggs
1 cup Milk
1 cup Flour
1 tsp Salt

Beat together for 30 seconds (best in blender)

Melt 6 TBS butter/margarine in a 9 x 13 pan (I use a smaller pan 9x9 for thicker pancakes)
When Melted, pour batter in pan.

Bake 20 minutes at 450`

(when done it will puff up around all the edges and have a puddle of butter in the middle, I usually pour the excess butter out to avoid the extra fat)

Serve with Powdered Sugar and Maple Syrup.

Brownies

Mix:
3 squares margarine (melted & cooled)
3/4 cup cocoa

In another bowl mix:
6 eggs - well beaten
3 cups sugar

Beat well and add 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla.
Mix this with the cooled cocoa mixture.

Add:
2 1/4 cup Flour
1 1/2 tsp Salt

Pour onto greased cookie sheet

Bake for 25 minutes at 350`

Sprinkle with Powdered Sugar

Meatloaf

(I shaped these into hearts for Valentines Day)

















1/2 cup Minced Celrey
1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup Minced Onion
1 tsp Chicken Bouillon
1 1/2 lb Ground Turkey
1/4 cup+2TBS Dried Bread Crumbs
2 TBS Catchup
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Garlic Powder
1/8 tsp Pepper

**Combine celery, water, onion and broth**

Transferto bowl and add all remaining ingredients.
**MIX WELL**

Divide into 2 loaves. (if mushy still, add more bread crumbs)

Bake 45 minutes at 375`

Sauce:
1/4 cup Catchup
1/4 Brown Sugar
1/8 to 1/4 cup pineapple juice. (1/8 for thick sauce, 1/4 for runny sauce)

Chicken Noodle Soup

2 cans Cream of Chicken
1 can Chicken Broth
3 Chicken Breasts (can put in crock pot frozen)
1/2 bag carrots (chopped)
Celery (however much you prefer)
Salt and Pepper to desired taste

**Cook all day**

1/2 hour before dinner add egg noodles & shred chicken.

Cafe Rio Guacamole

3 lg Avocados
2 TBS Mayo
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Seasoned Salt

Peel and mash avocados
Add remaining ingredients
**MIX WELL**

(Put avocado pit in guacamole to prevent browning)

Chicken Fettuccine

This is a BIG meal and SOO good. When I make it we usually have leftovers for a few days.
If we have guests eat with us I will also cook garlic bread (bought from a bakery)

White Sauce:
Melt cube of Butter/Margarine
Add 2 BIG spoons of Flour
**consistency of oatmeal**
Add 3/4 cup Milk
**stir so there is no lumps**
Add 1 pint Whipping Cream
**Stir till thick and take off heat**
Add..
2 TBS squished Basil
1 TBS Italian Seasoning
1/4 tsp Onion Powder
1/4 tsp Garlic Salt
1 TBS Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper
3/4 a bag of Parmesan Cheese

Chicken:
Cube 3 chicken breasts and fry in Olive Oil. Season with Garlic Salt, Onion Powder, Italian Seasoning, Basil, Salt and Pepper.

Noodles:
Cook Fettuccine Noodles as directed on box.

Once done add sauce & Chicken.

Oriental Salad

Dressing:
1/2 tsp Salt
2 TBS Sugar
1/4 cup Olive Oil
Dash of pepper
2 TBS Vinegar
1 TBS Parsley
**Shake & Refrigerate**

In a saucepan, cook 1/2 slivered almonds in 1TBS+1tsp Sugar until browned.
Remove immediately from heat and allow to cool.

Salad:
1 head of Lettuce
2 Green Onions (chopped)
1 can Mandarin Oranges

Add nuts and dressing just prior to serving.

Judy's Pasta Salad

I also do not have a picture of this yet, but will put one up as soon as I make it again. This is a crowd favorite & serves SO many people. We usually have it when we have people over or for BBQ's.


1 box Bowtie Pasta
1 box Tri colored Curly Pasta
1 can Mandarin Oranges
1 can Pineapple Tidbits (drained)
1 box Craisens
1 1/2 cup grapes (cut in half)
2 cups chopped Celery
2/3 cup green onions (sliced)
3-4 cups cooked, cubed chicken

Dressing: Mix together & pour on salad
1/2 mayo
1 16oz bottle of Craft Coleslaw Dressing


**Mix in 1/2 cup cashews before serving**

Chicken Cordon Bleu

I don't have a picture for this yet, but I will get one next time I cook it.
Marc & I LOVE having this and I have gotten many many complements on it. I also usually do green beans and rice/potatoes on the side.


4 Chicken breasts. (Skinless & Boneless)
4 slices of Provolone Cheese
4 thin slices of Ham
1/4 cup Flour
1 Egg (beaten)
1 cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
1/2 cup Chicken Broth
1 cup Whipping Cream


Pound chicken breast to 1/4 thickness.
Sprinkle each side of chicken breast with Salt and Pepper
Place 1 slice of cheese and 1 slice of ham on each chicken breast.
Fold chicken breast in half (use toothpick to hold if necessary)
Dredge each in flour, shake off excess, then in egg and finally in bread crumbs.
Place in baking dish (pre-sprayed with Pam)
Place 1 TBS Butter on each piece of Chicken

Bake at 350` for 35 minutes.

Meanwhile in a saucepan, combine Chicken Broth and Whipping Cream; Season to taste.
(Salt, Pepper, Chicken Seasoning ect..)
Simmer on low, stirring until thickened.
Pour over chicken.

Pat's Rolls



















Mix All Together (I use a large wire wisk)
1 TBS Yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
1 cube Butter, melted
3/4 cup Milk (pour melted butter into milk to cool butter before mixing with eggs)
1/2 cup Sugar
3 Eggs, beaten

**Mix in**
1 tsp Salt
4 cups Bread Flower

Use a wire whisk until it gets to thick, then mix with a wooden spoon (or your hands)
Mixture will be a little sticky.

Cover and let raise till double. (100 degrees in convection is the fastest)
Punch down, roll out (use lots of flour if dough is still sticky)
Cut out with a glass and roll out to elongate the circle. Then fold in half.

Put shaped rolls on the pan and let raise again, till double.

Bake 8-10 minutes at 400`

(I usually 2 times this recipe)
